It has high working voltage, stable discharge, high specific energy, and cycle performance Good, but high cost (cobalt), poor safety, average cycle life, and poor material stability. Lithium-ion batteries are mainly used as cathode materials for manufacturing mobile phones, notebook computers and other portable electronic devices. At present, the voltage of lithium cobalt oxide has reached 4.35-4.45V. due to the sharp rise and fall of cobalt price and lithium carbonate market price in the past two years, lithium cobaltate has begun to replace low-end mobile phone products, tablets, charging treasure 4.2V, 4.35V, etc. with ternary materials due to its high cost. lithium cobaltate's stable position in 3C digital has also begun to become precarious. In 2017, the domestic output of lithium cobalt oxide cathode material was 52,100 tons, basically the same as in 2016. We expect the output of lithium cobalt oxide cathode material to be 53,000 tons in 2018, up slightly by about 2%. as lithium cobaltate is the oldest cathode material product and lingers in 3C digital products all the year round, it has seized a certain market share with the entry of ternary materials in the past two years. however, in ultra-thin mobile phones pad and other fields, lithium cobaltate cannot be replaced due to its advantages of good volume energy density and magnification performance. We also have to admit that the largest shipment volume of these old cathode material manufacturers is still lithium cobaltate. With the increase of downstream demand, 4.35V has gradually begun to be eliminated. 4.4V and 4.45V lithium cobaltate products are gradually entering the mainstream. Industry insiders believe that the current 4.45V lithium cobaltate is like 811 of last year's ternary materials. Only a few battery factories in China purchase a small amount, and it will become the mainstream of the market next year, at present, only two domestic enterprises in Hunan and Fujian have the ton-level production of this product. |
